Guidance for Clergy and Parishioners

 

Clergy and Parishioners affected by the closure process should see the guidance note and its appendices. Flowchart One sets out the process of a Pastoral Church Buildings Scheme, and Flowchart Two sets out the process following the closure of a church building for worship.

The Pastoral (Amendment) Measure 2006 amended Section 56 if the Measure to allow for the lease of part of a church building without closing any part of the building for regular public worship. A guide to this amendment is available here.
