Canons of the Church of England

 

The fully revised sixth edition of the Canons (including the 2005 and 2008 supplements) contains all the latest amendments, as well as additional supporting material including:

  • an updated list of forms of service approved and commended as alternatives to The Book of Common Prayer, including Common Worship services;
  • the new Admission of baptized children to Holy Communion Regulations 2006;
  • advice to clergy concerning marriage and the divorced as issued by the House of Bishops in 2002;
  • a full list of Churches designated pursuant to the Church of England (Ecumenical Relations) Measure 1988; and
  • the list produced by the Council for Christian Unity of Churches in Communion with the Church of England.

Corrigenda

The following amendments are to be made to the printed text of the Canons:

p. 98 (Canon C 14) – before 'Every bishop, priest or deacon ...' insert '5. '

p. 174 (Canon H 2) – in paragraph 4(d), after 'holding' insert 'office'

p. 206 (Supplementary material) – for 'Michael Ebor' substitute 'David Ebor'
