Ecumenical Relations in England

The Church of England maintains special relationships with the Methodist Church of Great Britain (through the Anglican-Methodist Covenant signed in 2003) – and with the Moravian Church of Britain and Ireland (through the Fetter Lane Agreement signed in 1995

The Church of England maintains regular bilateral links with the Roman Catholic Church in England and Wales through the English Anglican-Roman Catholic Commission.

The CCU arranges structured but informal conversations with other Churches from time to time.

The CCU also gives advice and support for local ecumenical relationships and is keen to encourage new ways in which Churches locally can work together in mission.
