Have I paid enough National Insurance for my pension?
The Church of England Pension Scheme is non-contributory and the pension is calculated on the number of years service. If more information regarding this is required, please telephone the Church of England Pensions Board on 020-7898 1800.
For information on the State Pension you will need to contact your local DWP office or call the Contributions Agency helpline on 0191 213 5000.
I intend to continue working after I reach the age of 65 (or 60 for women). What will happen to my N I contributions?
You should obtain a certificate of age exception, form CA4140, from your local DWP office.
Once you have reached 65/60 you will no longer pay employees NI, but we will continue to pay the employers NI on your behalf.
What NI letter is applicable?
D = contracted-out standard rate contributions.
C = not contracted-out employer only contributions if paid a stipend over 65 years old.
A = not contracted-out
E = contracted-out reduced rate contributions
B = not contracted-out reduced rate contributions
