In October 2006, the Archbishops of Canterbury and York appointed the Rt Revd Stephen Lowe, Bishop of Hulme, as Bishop for Urban Life & Faith to promote the dissemination and implementation of the Faithful Cities report. The appointment is for three years, during which the Bishop will respond to issues of urban policy and life on behalf of the Church. The accompanying press release can be read here.
