Librarian and Archivist

 
Location Central London - Lambeth Palace Library
Salary £52,320 rising to £56,620 upon completion of probation

Key Areas:

  • Initiating and implementing strategic plans for the Library including delivering improved access to its collections.
  • Responsibility for collection care, maintenance and development.
  • Fundraising to deliver improvements to the Library, its collections and physical and electronic access to them.

 

Person Specification:

  • Strong leadership and people management skills and the ability to motivate staff.
  • Practical experience of managing, promoting and developing historical collections of archives, manuscripts and books, improving outreach and access to them.
  • Good honours degree and a postgraduate qualification in archives or librarianship.
