Southern North West Training Partnership steps out in style.
The Southern North West Training Partnership has a new logo. Designed by Mr. Julian Batteye and presented to the Directors at their last meeting in January the logo emphasizes the nature of the SNWTP as a Training Partnership and incorporates the cross at the very heart of the design. The Southern North West Training Partnership will also very shortly be setting up its own information website at www.snwtp.org.
Course Director, The Revd Dr Anne Dawtry commented: “We set up the new Course Office at Padgate in October 2006 and the SNWTP became a limited company on 31st January 2007.” The logo and website form the next step in the establishment of our corporate identity as an RTP and as a Course.”
The Southern North West Training Partnership came into being in 2006 as part of a desire on behalf of church leaders from three Anglican Dioceses (Chester, Liverpool and Manchester) and from the Baptist, Methodist and United Reformed Churches in the region to collaborate more closely in the provision of theological education for the region.
The RTP has set up a new Learning for Mission and Ministry Course which, from September 2007, will train those requiring a part-time route for training for ordination and for lay accredited ministries across the partner churches. The Course which will be validated through the Universities of Chester and Liverpool Hope will also be available to independent students registering through one of the partner churches or through Luther King Open College.
In addition to the Course the SNWTP has set up two further tasks groups looking at how Education for Discipleship and IME 4-7 might be developed in the future so as to share resources and ideas more effectively. Both these tasks groups are due to report to the Directors of the SNWTP this year.
There will be an official launch day for the RTP and for the Learning for Mission and Ministry Course on 18th June 2007 in the evening. For more details please e mail the Course Administrator Mrs Liz Liddle on snwtp@chester.ac.uk
