Part 1: Education for Discipleship

This section fills out the proposals on:

• the needs of lay learners in the Church, especially in relation to programmes that are or could be accredited at Higher Education Level 1;
• preliminary studies at Level 1  for those who are in the process of exploring a vocation to Reader or ordained ministry.

Part 2: A vision for good practice in Reader/Preacher training

This section contains a training specification for Reader/Preacher initial training and an approach to continuing ministerial development.

Part 3: Parameters of the Curriculum and Post-ordination phase of IME

This section contains:

• the Learning Outcomes for the initial ministerial education of the clergy;
• reflection on the learning contexts of the newly ordained;
• issues of curriculum design.
